Position Overview
As a member of the Laboratory Operations (LabOps) Training team, Technical Trainers play a critical role in developing a skilled and knowledgeable workforce that can achieve individual performance goals and meet overall business objectives. While collaborating with others to accomplish this mission, you are expected to take full ownership of ensuring training objectives are met. Whether working with new hires in entry-level roles or seasoned professionals, you will be responsible for guiding individuals through their skill development and growth.
*This is an on-site role at our Austin, TX Headquarters*
Major Responsibilities
- Utilize industry best practices to design training programs aligned with the goals and objectives established by site leadership
- Develop and implement a training curriculum tailored to accommodate various learning styles. Conduct hands-on technical training sessions and assessments to ensure employees demonstrate the competencies necessary to work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Monitor team members’ progress through training and beyond, ensuring the maintenance of skills and the advancement of competencies
- Manage the training roadmap for both new hires and current team members, delivering ongoing training aligned with their development paths
- Take ownership of the continuous feedback process by evaluating training effectiveness, gathering feedback, and implementing improvements to enhance outcomes
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience delivering technical training in a manufacturing or regulated environment, such as GMP, pharmaceutical, food production, aeronautical, or automotive industries
- Strong coaching and communication skills, including the ability to provide effective performance feedback
- Expertise in conducting training needs analyses and assessing competency levels
- Proven experience in designing instructional technical training programs that cater to a variety of learning styles
- Advanced computer proficiency, including practical knowledge of MS Office Suite, Asana, and other related systems
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
