Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement welding procedures for production teams, including material processes, pre‑ and post‑heat requirements, and complex alloy applications.
- Design and create welding fixtures to support standard product manufacturing.
- Develop internal passivation methods for welds.
- Research and evaluate new welding technologies, equipment, and processes for potential integration.
- Lead and coordinate technical personnel in weld inspections, procedure compliance, and certification testing.
- Collaborate with Buyers to establish supply chains for welding consumables and outsourced weldment components.
- Perform hands‑on fixturing, welding, and assembly of products to customer specifications.
- Adapt to evolving responsibilities as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering or Welding Engineering, or 10 years of relevant welding experience.
- Level II Visual Weld Inspector training required.
- 2–4 years of stainless steel welding experience.
- Strong understanding of quality systems (ISO 9000 or similar).
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and engineering software, including:
- SolidWorks
- AutoCAD 2D
- MS Outlook, Word, Excel
- Ability to work independently and professionally in a startup‑style environment.
- Minimal travel required.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and use of standard office equipment.
- Occasional bending, twisting, squatting, climbing.
- Frequent hand/wrist motion and tool use.
- Ability to lift 1–10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Occasional carrying up to 25 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
