Description

Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago O’Hare / Rosemont is seeking an experienced and hands-on Executive Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in a fast-paced, high-volume hotel environment.

This role is responsible for delivering exceptional cleanliness standards across all two-room suites, public areas, and laundry operations, while leading a unionized team and ensuring compliance with the UNITE HERE collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

  

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Lead, train, and manage housekeeping staff including Room Attendants, Housepersons, Public Area Attendants, and Laundry 
  • Create daily schedules based on occupancy and business levels 
  • Ensure compliance with union contract (UNITE HERE), including seniority, bidding, overtime, and work rules 
  • Maintain strong employee relations and partner with HR on performance management 

Housekeeping & Cleanliness Standards

  • Ensure all guest suites meet Embassy Suites brand cleanliness standards 
  • Oversee public areas including lobby, atrium, hallways, restrooms, and meeting spaces 
  • Maintain high standards during breakfast and evening reception service periods 
  • Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions 
  • Support Hilton Clean Stay® initiatives and improve guest satisfaction scores 

Financial & Administrative

  • Manage departmental labor, supplies, and expenses 
  • Monitor productivity and staffing levels 
  • Review payroll for accuracy and compliance 
  • Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships      

  Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and Hilton safety standards      
  • Train team members on proper equipment use and chemical handling 
  • Investigate incidents and support workplace safety initiatives

Qualifications

  • 5 years of housekeeping leadership experience in a hotel environment 
  • Union experience strongly preferred (UNITE HERE or similar environment) 
  • Strong leadership and team development skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-occupancy hotel 
  • Knowledge of housekeeping operations, labor management, and budgeting 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills 
  • Bi-Lingual preferred
