What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher/Customer Service position at EMAX TRANSPORTATION INC?
We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative/Load coordinator (Dispatcher) to communicate with our customers regarding all aspects of their experience. A successful candidate will be able to communicate with our customers via email, phone and chat. The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for scheduling delivery appointments and assigning drivers to loads. We hope to find an individual who is flexible, innovative, good at problem solving, and has strong listening/communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Logistics and Scheduling: Prepare daily work schedules, create or receive work orders, and maintain accurate records of calls, completed work, charges, expenses, and inventory.
Route and Status Monitoring: Track the location and progress of field units, adjust routes as needed, and coordinate schedules to optimize efficiency
Problem Resolution: Communicate with supervisors and customers to resolve service issues, equipment needs, or other requests
Reporting and Maintenance: Report delays, accidents, or transportation issues to management and arrange for necessary repairs or replacements
Data Management: Enter and maintain logs, call records, and operational data in computer systems
Receiving and Prioritizing Calls: Answer both emergency and non-emergency calls, gather relevant information from callers, and prioritize based on urgency
Dispatching Resources: Assign drivers, work crews, vehicles, or equipment to the correct locations according to schedules, customer requests, or immediate needs
Key Skills Needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Proficiency with dispatch systems, GPS/routing software, and data entry
- Knowledge of emergency procedures and logistics protocols
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
