Essential Functions as an Accounting Assistant:
- Prepare customers check payments for deposit into the bank
- Apply customers payments to appropriate invoices as directed by remittance advices
- Help research payments that do not include remittance advices
- Process child support orders by researching status, responding appropriately and setting up deductions for our associates
- General clerical duties including scanning, copying and faxing documents
- Assist with mail duties including opening and sorting mail
- Assist with other duties and projects as assigned
Desired SkillsExperience for an Accounting Assistant:
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Able to effectively communicate with all levels of company personnel and with outside contacts.
