Electrical Estimator
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 Benefits
Our client, a well-established Electrical Contractor based in Fort Lauderdale, is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned electrical estimating professional looking to step into a leadership position with a company delivering large-scale commercial electrical installations across South Florida.
The Role
As Electrical Estimator, you will oversee the preparation of accurate and competitive bids, mentor junior estimators, and help drive business growth through strong client relationships and successful project pursuits.
Working closely with operations and executive leadership, you'll play a key role in securing major commercial projects while continuously improving estimating processes and team performance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for large commercial projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Develop competitive pricing strategies while maintaining profitability
- Coordinate with project managers, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Build and maintain strong client relationships that generate repeat business
- Mentor and develop junior estimators
- Ensure all bids are submitted accurately and on time
- Support business development and strategic growth initiatives
Requirements
- 5 years of electrical estimating experience
- Extensive experience estimating large commercial electrical construction projects
- Experience with civil, municipal, or government electrical projects is preferred
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with McCormick Estimating Software (preferred)
- Experience using Bluebeam and the Microsoft Office Suite
