About the Role
As Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with project managers, subcontractors, owners, and design teams while maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving and field leadership.
This role will oversee both ground-up construction and renovation projects, with a strong emphasis on healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily on-site construction operations from project start through closeout.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are achieved.
- Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized job site.
- Conduct quality control inspections and ensure work meets contract documents and specifications.
- Lead project meetings and communicate progress with project managers and clients.
- Resolve field issues quickly while minimizing schedule impacts.
- Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and project turnover activities.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and project records.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
- Proven experience managing healthcare construction projects is required.
- Experience leading both ground-up and renovation projects.
- Additional experience in commercial, retail, office, or institutional construction is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, sequencing, and quality control.
- Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and job site safety.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office is a plus.
