About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Service Manager to oversee maintenance operations at a 278-unit Multi-family community in Homewood, AL. This is a working manager role— you will be responsible for leading a team while also performing hands-on maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all property maintenance, work orders, and preventative care
- Perform and supervise repairs: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry
- Support and supervise the maintenance team
- Ensure property is safe, clean, and well-maintained
- Manage inventory, budgets, vendors, and contractors
- Participate in on-call emergency maintenance rotation
Qualifications
- 3 years of maintenance experience (multi-family or commercial preferred)
- Leadership or supervisory experience a plus
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
