What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cranberry Marsh Worker position at Elm Lake Cranberry?
Do you love the outdoors, have a positive attitude, and enjoy working with a purpose? Come join our team full-time this harvest season! This position will start out as an hourly opportunity to work harvest but may turn into a full-time salaried position for the right candidate. Work varies greatly throughout the year and never gets boring! We repair much of our own equipment and occasionally even build our own machines.
Responsibilities
Working in all aspects of growing cranberries including:
- Fertilizing / Spraying
- Irrigation / Frost Protection
- Harvest
- Winter Flooding
- Sanding
- Renovation / Planting
- Operating tractors and heavy equipment
- Repair and maintenance on equipment
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and able to be a team player
- Must be motivated and self-driven
- Willingness to work outdoors and in any weather
- Physical ability and able to lift 50 lbs
- Mechanical/repair experience
- Welding experience a plus
- Heavy equipment experience a plus
- Prior experience in farming a plus
