Unit Manager (Registered Nurse)

Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday with rotating on-call responsibilities

Ellicott City Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to lead and support our nursing team while ensuring exceptional care for our residents. The Unit Manager plays a critical role in overseeing daily clinical operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive environment for residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of an assigned nursing unit.
Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
Ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centered care.
Coordinate and oversee resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation.
Monitor and maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
Conduct rounds and address resident, family, and staff concerns promptly.
Participate in admissions, discharges, and care conferences.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and interdisciplinary team members.
Assist with staffing, scheduling, and performance management.
Promote infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
Active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting.
Strong clinical assessment and leadership skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Preferred:
Previous Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, or Supervisory experience.
Experience working in a skilled nursing or post-acute care environment.
Knowledge of CMS regulations and long-term care survey processes.
