In this key role, you will partner with the Director of Nursing to lead our nursing department, support staff development, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote exceptional resident care.

• Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the daily operations of the nursing department.

• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care.

• Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.

• Support infection prevention and control programs.

• Participate in QAPI, risk management, and regulatory compliance activities.

• Assist with survey preparedness and responses to state and federal inspections.

• Investigate incidents and resident concerns and implement corrective actions.

• Oversee clinical documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.

• Serve as the Director of Nursing in their absence.

Required:

• Current Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting.

• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing leadership or supervisory experience.

• Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

• Previous experience as an ADON, Unit Manager, Nurse Supervisor, or related nursing leadership role.

• BSN preferred.

• Experience with electronic medical record systems.

• Infection Prevention experience or certification a plus.
