Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and quality of linens and garments in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all laundry is handled efficiently and meets our high standards. Previous experience in laundry services, especially within a hotel setting, is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers to clean linens and garments according to established procedures.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry items in a timely manner.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring garments are treated with appropriate care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including regular cleaning of machines and workspaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Provide excellent service to guests by ensuring their laundry needs are met promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in laundry services or cleaning preferred; hotel experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads as required.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.
