Operations Manager

ELLA specializes in the safe and reliable delivery of utilities, completing numerous significant projects across Central and South Texas. Our services include underground utilities such as storm drainage, sanitary sewer, water, and fire lines.

We’re hiring an Operations Manager to lead daily field operations and drive performance across our San Antonio and Austin project portfolio. This is an on-site leadership role with responsibility for both markets.

As Operations Manager, you will:

• Oversee field operations, superintendents, and project managers.
• Manage schedules, manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.
• Lead client communication, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation.
• Manage budgets and drive accountability to project goals.
• Solve problems quickly, build structure, and align resources to deliver results.

This isn’t a sideline role — it’s for a proven leader who can command respect in the field, build strong teams, and keep projects moving.

• Project Management and Superintendent-level field experience.
• Knowledge of civil construction, underground utilities, safety, and quality standards.
• Strong leadership and team management skills — a builder of teams, not a follower.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship management.
• Proficiency in resource allocation, scheduling, and problem-solving.
• Budget management and cost control experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Certifications such as PMP or equivalent are a plus.
