Position Summary
Salary range: $65,000–$85,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and EEC certification level.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to lead all aspects of our bilingual English-Spanish early childhood program. This role is responsible for overseeing center operations, ensuring full compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations, developing and supporting high-performing staff, and maintaining exceptional program quality. The Director will foster strong partnerships with families and lead a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports successful outcomes for children, educators, and the community.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily center operations and classroom management
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teachers and support staff
- Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching and support
- Coordinate staff schedules and time-off requests
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and staff training
- Ensure compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations and licensing requirements
- Maintain staff records, certifications, and documentation
- Support curriculum implementation and program quality improvement
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Organize family engagement events and community activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment
Qualifications
- Massachusetts EEC Director II Certification preferred (Director I considered with strong experience)
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in an early childhood education setting
- Strong knowledge of Massachusetts EEC regulations
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience supervising and supporting staff
- Ability to build strong relationships with families and educators
- Fluent English required
- Spanish speaking preferred
- CPR and First Aid Certification preferred
