Role and Responsibilities:
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Controller to join our client's Credit Fund Accounting team, a group responsible for managing the accounting and internal controls for their Lending Funds. The team also supports management and investor reporting. The Assistant Controller will initially focus on one of our complex comingled private funds. The Lending Platform currently supports $16 billion of investable assets across seven active funds, with an additional comingled fund expected to launch in Q2 of this year.
The Assistant Controller will:
• Oversee fully redundant month-end close processes, calculation of NAV, explanation of drivers
• Liaise with front office and execute financial models
• Proactively drive process improvements, efficiency and reporting enhancements
• Coordinate investor capital activity, income distributions, rebalancings, allocations and fees, waterfall payments
• Facilitate preparation of financial statements; successful audit completion; perform accounting research
• Satisfy investor reporting requirements and support ad hoc inquiries
• Manage project related workstreams and analyses
• Collaborate closely with multiple teams including Tax, Reporting, Valuation, Operations, Investor Relations, Legal and Compliance
Skills and Requirements:
• 7-10 years of relevant experience – public / private mix and CPA preferred; private credit or private equity experience required.
• Experience with credit portfolios, fund administrators and understanding of PE style / commitment-based funds and reporting metrics (e.g., ROE, IRR, MoM) preferred
• Strong academic record as demonstrated by SAT scores and GPA
• Excellent Excel skills, technically savvy
• Outstanding attention to detail; committed to process and related improvements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Flexible, quick learner with the ability to multi-task and dynamic professional environment
Salary : $180,000 - $250,000
