Personal Care Attendant

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable professional to provide respectful, person-centered support to individuals who need assistance with daily living activities. In this role, you will help create a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment while supporting each individual’s independence, preferences, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, while maintaining privacy and dignity.
• Support mobility needs, including transferring, repositioning, and helping with ambulation as appropriate.
• Provide assistance with meal preparation, feeding, hydration, and light household tasks related to the individual’s care.
• Offer companionship and emotional support through respectful, attentive interaction.
• Follow care plans, safety guidelines, and established routines to meet individual needs.
• Monitor and report changes in condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate team members or supervisor.
• Maintain accurate documentation as required by agency or program procedures.
• Promote independence by encouraging participation in daily activities to the greatest extent possible.

Qualifications

• Experience providing personal care or support services in a home, residential, or community-based setting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with individuals, families, and team members in a professional manner.
• Reliable, patient, and compassionate approach to caregiving.
• Ability to follow instructions, care plans, and safety procedures.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily care tasks as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Relevant certifications, training, or state-required credentials may be required depending on the role and location.
