Job Summary
The Sales Manager leads a team of sellers to consistent, profitable growth by driving focus on the right accounts, activities, and opportunities. This role establishes a clear operating rhythm—pipeline and forecast discipline, deal strategy, and proactive territory coverage—while developing people through structured coaching. The Sales Manager partners cross functionally (service, operations, finance) to remove friction, protect margin, and deliver an excellent customer experience. Success is measured by revenue attainment, gross margin, forecast accuracy, and the progression of talent on the team. This position has supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Director of Sales.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Hit the number: Deliver or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and gross-margin targets for the team.
- Own the pipeline: Maintain a healthy, reality-based pipeline (coverage, aging, stage hygiene) and a timely inspection cadence that improves win rates
- Elevate deal quality: Lead strategic deal reviews that sharpen value messaging, strengthen competitive position, and protect price.
- Drive territory coverage: Ensure every rep executes a written territory plan (prospecting, account penetration, call patterns, and calendaring) to expand new logos and wallet share.
- Improve forecast accuracy: Establish stage definitions and exit criteria; provide weekly roll-up forecast to VP team and Finance team.
- Institutionalize the sales process: Standardize qualification, discovery, proposal, and close steps, reinforce through ride-along and prep calls.
- Develop Talent: Recruit, onboard, and ramp sellers for success, whether that is their next role or sales growth and critical territory placement.
- Strengthen cross-functional execution: Partner with Service/Ops/finance teams to deliver on lead times, customer excellence, and cash collections.
- Customer executive engagement: Orchestrate QBRs and executive calls that align solutions to customer outcomes and surface expansion paths.
- Data-Driven continuous improvement: Track leading indicators (new meetings, qualified Opps, stage conversion, QBR's) and run monthly retros to remove bottlenecks.
- Champion culture and ethics: Model accountability, preparation, and respectful challenge; reinforce company values in every interaction.

- Change Leadership: Implements new processes and secures internal and customer alignment.
Requirements
- Requires PC skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Windows environment and must possess a general understanding of office operations and equipment, including but not limited to personal computers, tablets, cellular phones, photocopiers/scanners, and online phone system.
- Candidates should demonstrate a fundamental understanding of finance and accounting principles and terminology.
- Must have practical communication skills (written and verbal) and be able to communicate with technicians, vendors, sales team members & customers using the Company’s communications systems.
- Must live within an acceptable distance from the reporting location.
- Must possess the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check.

Work Environment

The work is performed in various locations, including warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, refineries and hospital settings. Employees may work with co-workers’ side-by-side with a moderate level of activity being performed. Exposure to high voltage AC/DC power is very common in many work environments. The pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Employees may be eligible for additional incentive pay.
