Ithaka Hospitality Partners is seeking a passionate and organized Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Elevation Convening Center & Hotel. This role supports the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and laundry services meet the highest standards of cleanliness and service.

Job Summary:
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports all housekeeping and laundry functions for Elevation Convening Center & Hotel, Elevation Fitness, and The Goldthwaite House. This includes guest rooms, public areas, and laundry services, while assisting the Executive Housekeeper in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assists in all aspects of housekeeping operations, including scheduling, training, and onboarding staff.
- Supports pre-shift huddles and departmental meetings as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.
- Helps monitor staff performance to ensure adherence to cleanliness standards and guest satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures team members follow hotel policies and procedures.
- Approaches all encounters with guests and associates in a hospitable and service-oriented manner.
- Assists in maintaining guest satisfaction and room cleanliness scores.
- Monitors housekeeping-related guest feedback and works to resolve issues promptly.
- Supports the Executive Housekeeper in managing housekeeping budgets, inventory, payroll, and labor costs.
- Assists in supervising housekeeping and laundry supervisors.
- Maintains key control systems for housekeepers.
- Participates in associate performance appraisals and staff evaluations as assigned.
- Provides support for MOD coverage when needed.
- Conducts walkthroughs and inspections with Executive Housekeeper or management team.
- Executes emergency procedures following hotel standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of hotel and housekeeping operations.
- Familiarity with housekeeping software and systems.
- Customer service-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Education & Experience:
- Associate's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or supervisory role preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
