Position: Law Firm Operations Supervisor
Location: California- Hybrid or Remote
Compensation: $70,000-$85,000, based on experience
Elevate is currently working with a prominent California litigation firm that focuses on high‑impact consumer protection and civil litigation matters. This is a fast-paced, high-volume role that demands exceptional multitasking ability and composure under pressure. The right candidate thrives in an environment with competing deadlines, shifting priorities, and a consistently heavy workload. This senior role combines hands-on legal support with team oversight across all Firm offices, requiring deep law firm experience, strong federal and state filing expertise, and proven people management skills.
Responsibilities
Team leadership
- Supervise, assign, and review work for a team of Attorney Resource Group specialists; provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback
- Manage high-volume workload distribution and rapidly shifting priorities across all Firm offices simultaneously; hand off work with clear instructions to maintain quality
- Support adoption of new technology to improve team efficiency and work product quality
Court filing & service of process
- Prepare and oversee state and federal court filings, including e-filing and service of process, in compliance with applicable jurisdictional and local rules
- Conduct and manage federal filings via PACER/CM-ECF, including docket monitoring and deadline tracking
- Make and manage hearing reservations, coordinating with court systems and attorney calendars
Legal document support
- Create, edit, format, and proofread legal documents, spreadsheets, and presentations for accuracy and consistency
- Promptly respond to multiple simultaneous attorney requests and efficiently manage high-volume document workflows, scheduling, and Firm resources without sacrificing quality
Qualifications
- BA degree preferred; paralegal certificate or equivalent legal training a plus
- 7 years of law firm experience required; high-volume litigation environment strongly preferred
- 5 years supervising or leading a team in a law firm or professional services environment
- Demonstrated expertise in state and federal court filing, e-filing, and service of process
- Working knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and applicable state civil procedure rules
- Hands-on PACER/CM-ECF experience for federal filings and docket management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to build positive working relationships in-person and virtually
