The Clinical Leader is the senior operational leader within the clinic, responsible for driving business performance, developing the General Manager/Assistant General Manager, strengthening doctor partnerships, and building a high-performing leadership culture.
This is an in-clinic role with a daily presence alongside the General Manager/Assistant General Manager, providers, and team. The Clinical Leader focuses on developing the GM's leadership and business acumen while ensuring strong operational execution and sustainable clinic growth.
Clinics with a Clinical Leader should serve as development clinics within Elevate EyeCare, producing subject matter experts and preparing General Managers/Assistant General Managers to successfully lead larger, high-revenue locations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & GM Development
• Directly coach and develop the General Manager or Assistant General Manager in leadership, business acumen, accountability, and operational execution.
• Build the GM's/AGM's ability to independently lead the clinic, manage performance, develop the team, and make effective business decisions.
• Create a growth environment that identifies and develops future leaders and subject matter experts.
• Partner with the Market Leader on GM/AGM development, performance, and succession planning.
• Business & Financial Performance
• Drive clinic performance against revenue, EBITDA, payroll, and established KPIs.
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly results with the GM/AGM and turn performance gaps into clear action plans.
• Coach the GM/AGM to understand the business drivers behind results and take proactive action to improve performance.
• Identify opportunities to grow patient volume, provider utilization, optical performance, and overall clinic revenue.
Operational Excellence
• Maintain a daily presence in the clinic to observe workflows, patient flow, leadership behaviors, and operational opportunities.
• Ensure daily huddles are completed, results are discussed, goals are understood, and priorities are established.
• Ensure consistent execution of company tools and processes, including PVP, scheduling standards, recalls, scorecards, and action plans.
• Partner with the GM/AGM to identify operational barriers and implement sustainable solutions.
Doctor Partnership
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with doctors and clinic leadership.
• Develop the GM's/AGM's ability to effectively partner with providers and create shared accountability for clinic success.
• Maintain regular communication around clinic performance, patient experience, scheduling, workflow, and growth opportunities.
• Create a "one clinic" approach where providers and operational teams work toward shared goals.
Team & Talent Development
• Establish the clinic as a development environment for future Elevate EyeCare leaders.
• Identify high-potential team members and develop subject matter experts across key areas of the business.
• Build succession plans and create opportunities for team members to expand their skills and responsibilities.
• Prepare the GM/AGM and other emerging leaders for advancement into larger or higher revenue clinics.
Patient Experience
• Ensure the clinic consistently delivers a high-quality, patient-first experience.
• Observe the patient journey and coach the GM/AGM and team on opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and communication.
• Ensure patient concerns and recurring service issues are addressed appropriately and used as opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications
• 5 years of progressive leadership or management experience preferred, ideally in healthcare, optical, retail, or a service-based environment.
• Demonstrated success developing managers, building teams, and driving business performance.
• Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to understand P&L, EBITDA, payroll, and operational KPIs.
• Strong coaching, communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Working knowledge of optical and healthcare operations preferred.
• Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• This is an in-clinic leadership role requiring consistent daily presence within the assigned clinic.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods.
• Ability to use computers and standard office equipment and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
