Job Title: Machine Operator Helper (3rd Shift)

Location: Chesterfield, VA 23832

Job Type: Contract (6 Months)

Pay Rate: $21.00/hour

Shift: 3rd Shift (Onsite) 11:00 Pm - 7:00Am

Job Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Machine Operator Helper to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assist with fabricating and assembling products using a variety of machines, hand tools, and equipment while following engineering drawings and production standards. This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing or warehouse experience who are mechanically inclined and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

Operate and assist with fabrication equipment and machinery.

Assemble and fabricate parts according to engineering specifications.

Set up workstations using fixtures, guides, and measuring tools.

Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.

Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines.

Troubleshoot minor production issues and report defects.

Safely use hand tools, grinders, drills, presses, saws, and other equipment.

Maintain a clean and organized work area following 6S standards.

Support cross-training and collaborate with team members.

Qualifications

Required:

High School Diploma or GED.

1–3 years of manufacturing, production, warehouse, or fabrication experience.

Basic mechanical aptitude.

Ability to read a tape measure, fractions, and decimals.

Basic computer, math, reading, and writing skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Preferred:

1–2 years of fabrication or machining experience.

Experience with production machinery or manufacturing equipment.

Skills
