What You'll Do
What You'll Do
- Inspect and monitor fiber optic outside plant construction daily across FTTH, SFU, MDU, and FTTB project sites
- Report daily vendor production and progress using Sitetracker mobile software
- Review drawings and specs to stay ahead of what's being built and catch issues early
- Visit active job sites to evaluate progress, answer questions, and direct contractor activities as needed
- Perform quality inspections on ongoing and completed work using established checklists
- Support material inventory tracking and consumption reporting
- Enforce safety rules and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards throughout construction
- Hands-on experience with outside plant fiber optic construction or inspection
- Ability to read and interpret FTTX fiber prints and construction drawings
- Comfortable working independently in the field with minimal oversight
- Proficient in Microsoft Office — Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll be reporting to project managers and interfacing with contractors daily
- Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must live within 1 hour of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre
- HS diploma or GED
- Daily travel to job sites in and around Scranton is required — a rental vehicle is provided and fully reimbursed
- This is an outdoor role in all weather conditions — rain, snow, heat, you name it
- PPE required on site — safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, hearing protection, and safety vest all provided (bring your own steel-toe boots)
- Expect up to 5 miles of walking per day on active construction sites
- Occasional work outside normal business hours may be needed
