A publicly traded cloud data security company headquartered in Palo Alto, this organization protects enterprises and government agencies globally from data loss and cyber threats. Having recently completed its IPO, the company is actively maturing its public company reporting infrastructure. This role sits inside the accounting and finance organization and owns a critical piece of that buildout supporting the SEC reporting function at a high-visibility stage of the company's public company lifecycle. The team is lean, the work is hands-on, and the scope is broad.

What You'll Do
- Prepare and review Form 10-Q and 10-K filings including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A sections
- Manage XBRL/iXBRL tagging and tie-out processes within the SEC filing platform
- Prepare and review the consolidated statement of cash flows using the indirect method, including supplemental disclosure schedules and classification resolution
- Prepare SBC journal entries, reconciliations, and rollforward schedules; review equity report data
- Draft ASC 718 footnote disclosures for stock-based compensation
- Support goodwill impairment analysis and intangible asset rollforwards under ASC 350/360 including related footnote disclosures
- Support monthly and quarterly close including journal entry review, account reconciliations, and flux analysis
- Prepare PBC schedules and respond to auditor inquiries during quarterly reviews and the annual audit
- Document key accounting judgments and internal controls tied to the reporting process
What We Need From You
- CPA with 10 or more years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience at or supporting a public company
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of 10-K and/or 10-Q filings
- Deep working knowledge of ASC 718, ASC 230, and ASC 350/360 with practical application experience
- Working knowledge of SEC regulations including Regulation S-X and S-K, and PCAOB standards
- Proficiency in a major ERP platform for ledger review, journal entry management, and report extraction
Preferred / Bonus
- Workiva for SEC filing workflows, tie-outs, and XBRL/iXBRL tagging
- NetSuite for general ledger and reporting workflows
- Equity reporting platform experience (Carta, E*TRADE Equity Edge, Morgan Stanley Shareworks, or similar) for SBC reconciliation
- Advanced Excel
