Job Description:
Job Title: Lab Technician III
Location: Henrico, VA, 23231
Duration: 98 days with possible extension
Shift Timings: Shift Hours:8am-4pm or 7am - 3pm.
Summary of Job:
As an R&D Technician, you’ll support innovation and customer projects aligned with strategic goals. Reporting to the Lab Manager, you’ll perform both qualitative and quantitative testing. Initial training will be under direct supervision. Safety is a top priority. You’re expected to follow safe work practices and report any concerns to management.
Must-have/Required skills:
- Able to operate/calibrate lab equipment
- Basic Computer Skills esp. with Excel
- Strong teamwork and communication and report writing skills
Nice-to-have skills:
- Experience in paper and packaging industry is a plus
- Familiarity with papermaking and paperboard products preferred
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative lab tests Learn and apply new testing methods to support materials science innovation
- Use spreadsheets to compile and analyze data Share findings with project requesters
- Collaborate with team members on larger projects
- Safely operate and calibrate lab equipment under supervision
Salary : $20 - $22
