Job Title: Coating Utility (Chamber)

Location: Fairport, NY 14450 (On-Site)

Shift: B Shift – 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

Duration: 6-Month Contract (possibility of extension based on business needs)

Interview Process: Phone Screen with Direct Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support production operations through machine setup and teardown, administrative support, sanitation activities, and logistics coordination. This role is responsible for maintaining smooth production workflows while ensuring cleanliness, safety, and compliance within a cleanroom manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Core Production Support

• Assist with material handling, including moving raw materials, staging components, and replenishing supplies.
• Prepare machines and workstations for operations through basic setup, cleaning, and material loading.
• Support production flow by ensuring parts and tools are available when required.

Administrative & Documentation

• Enter data into production systems such as work orders and inventory transactions.
• Maintain accurate logs and records for compliance and traceability purposes.
• Update status boards or digital dashboards as needed.

Logistics Support

• Move finished goods or components between work areas.
• Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams for material transfers where applicable.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.

Sanitation & Safety

• Perform routine cleaning of work areas and equipment.
• Properly dispose of waste materials, including hazardous materials if trained.
• Follow all PPE and cleanroom protocols.
• Report safety hazards or equipment issues promptly.

Quality & Compliance

• Perform basic visual inspections for defects or contamination.
• Ensure materials meet cleanliness and labeling requirements.
• Support compliance with ISO, GMP, or other applicable standards.

Training & Team Support

• Shadow experienced operators and learn standard operating procedures.
• Assist in training new hires on basic operational tasks and safety practices.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Assist with special projects or emergency tasks as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Cleanroom environment.
• PPE required, including safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, facemask, and cleanroom garments.
• Use of general tools such as allen keys, screwdrivers, wrenches, and sandblasting equipment.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds with assistance as needed.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

Education Requirement

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Desired Experience

• Experience executing manufacturing or production processes.
• Experience following work instruction checklists.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience supporting machine setup and teardown procedures.
• Sandblasting experience preferred but not required.
