Volunteer: Website Review and Optimization

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.

Elev8 Villages is seeking a volunteer with experience in website strategy, user experience, nonprofit fundraising, or digital marketing to help us improve our website's effectiveness. We would like an experienced professional to review our current website and provide recommendations that improve clarity, visitor engagement, and donor conversion. Areas of focus include:

• Homepage messaging and visitor experience
• Calls to action
• Donation pathway and conversion opportunities
• Mobile responsiveness
• Website structure and navigation
• Basic SEO recommendations
• Trust-building and credibility elements The goal is not a complete redesign but a prioritized action plan that identifies the highest-impact improvements for a small nonprofit with limited resources. We are currently on the Kartra platform.
  
  

Our website is often the first interaction someone has with Elev8 Villages. It is where potential donors, volunteers, sponsors, community partners, and advocates decide whether to take the next step. This project will help us ensure that visitors clearly understand both the urgency of the problem and the hope-filled solution we are working to create. The volunteer's expertise will help us identify opportunities to improve user experience, strengthen calls to action, and increase engagement and donor conversion. Even small improvements can significantly increase our ability to attract support and resources. The ultimate goal is not simply a better website. The goal is to help us secure the partnerships, volunteers, and funding necessary to launch supportive housing communities for youth aging out of foster care. When a young person ages out of foster care, the presence—or absence—of community can shape the trajectory of an entire life. By helping us build a more effective digital presence, the volunteer becomes part of a much larger effort to create belonging, stability, and opportunity for young people who deserve the chance to thrive. The impact of this work will be felt not only by the youth we serve, but by future families, communities, and generations that benefit when a young person is given the support needed to build a healthy and meaningful life.

Our website is already live and contains substantial content, allowing the volunteer to begin work immediately. We can provide access to analytics, fundraising materials, audience information, and organizational background as needed. We have leadership buy-in for website improvements and are prepared to implement recommendations following project completion. This work will directly support fundraising efforts, sponsorship outreach, volunteer recruitment, and awareness-building during our upcoming national tour.
