What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: Website Architecture & Design Concept position at From Your Father?
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
We seek a web designer to create structure and design options for our nonprofit website. Squarespace. The volunteer should assess and incorporate our goals and needs and consider our key audiences. The designer should also assess our technical capabilities. The project's deliverable is a draft of architecture and design concepts that we can easily share with a web developer volunteer or a member of our team who will use the guide to create our new site. Our work will take place over multiple meetings in six to nine weeks. In our first meeting, the volunteer should interview us about our desired features, our web capabilities, and our technical expertise. Then, they'll synthesize the information into a requirements briefing. We'll engage in various check-ins, where a member or members of our team will provide feedback. The volunteer will audit our current site to create a draft of site architecture and design options including wireframes, site structure, and other visual elements.
From Your Father serves children growing up without their father's support and the single mothers working tirelessly to raise them. We're seeking a volunteer web designer to help us create a website that better tells our story, inspires community involvement, and connects families to resources and opportunities. A stronger website will help us:
From Your Father Inc. Mission: Children without the support of their father face challenges that touch every part of life — from school to confidence to daily needs. Single moms are left doing double duty, often exhausted and overlooked. And many who want to help don’t know how to start. At From Your Father, we believe God Himself steps in as the Father to the fatherless — and He calls us to be His hands and feet.

We're seeking a volunteer web designer to help us create a website that better tells our story, inspires community involvement, and connects families to resources and opportunities. A stronger website will help us:
- Reach more families in need of support
- Recruit volunteers and community partners
- Share stories of transformation and impact
- Increase donations and sponsorship opportunities
- Connect churches, businesses, and community groups to meaningful ways to serve
- Make it easier for families to access programs and resources Each year, From Your Father provides Love Boxes filled with essential resources, Out of the Box Experiences that expand possibilities for children and families, coaching and encouragement for mothers, and opportunities for families to move from surviving to thriving. The volunteer supporting this project will play a direct role in helping more children receive resources, more mothers find support, and more community members discover ways to get involved. Your time and talents won't simply help us build a website. You'll help us build a stronger bridge between our community and the families we serve. Because when more people discover the mission, more families have the opportunity to rise, thrive, and change the world.
