What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: Impact Data Infrastructure position at From Your Father?
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
Our organization is looking to maximize how we collect and analyze impact data to better demonstrate our value to stakeholders and position ourselves to secure capacity-building revenue. We're seeking a volunteer to help optimize our impact data infrastructure by recommending improvements to current data collection processes and developing a data tool to visualize key data insights. Potential tasks include: -Conduct an audit of current data collection processes and the type of data points being collected -Recommend enhancements to data collection processes to ensure we capture the most relevant information to demonstrate program impact -Develop a data visualization tool that allows the organization to track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify program trends, and extract actionable insights By optimizing our infrastructure for collecting and analyzing impact data, we will improve our ability to demonstrate value to funders and secure resources.
Data is the most important thing for our mission. Many funders have requested clean data so we can access more resources for fatherless children.
To support this project, the volunteer will have access to staff members who work closely with data collection and reporting. We will provide details about our program, mission, and vision, as well as materials currently used for data collection (e.g. surveys, intake forms, budgetary information). Additionally, we'll share how we currently use data to communicate with stakeholders and support fundraising efforts.
From Your Father Inc. Mission: Children without the support of their father face challenges that touch every part of life — from school to confidence to daily needs. Single moms are left doing double duty, often exhausted and overlooked. And many who want to help don’t know how to start. At From Your Father, we believe God Himself steps in as the Father to the fatherless — and He calls us to be His hands and feet.
