Volunteer: Optimize GiveButter Donation Experience for Growing Nonprofit

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.

Elev8 Villages is seeking a volunteer with experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor experience, digital giving platforms, or Givebutter to help us optimize our online donation process. Our organization is preparing for a national awareness and partnership tour designed to build support for future tiny home village communities serving youth aging out of foster care. As we expand our outreach efforts, we want to ensure that our donation experience is clear, compelling, and easy for supporters to navigate. We are looking for a volunteer to review our current Givebutter donation page and provide recommendations and implementation support related to:

• Donation page messaging and storytelling
• Donation levels and suggested giving amounts
• Donor conversion best practices
• Visual presentation and page layout
• Recurring giving opportunities
• Donor trust and credibility elements
• Campaign structure and fundraising strategy
• Donor follow-up and stewardship recommendations The goal is to create a donor experience that inspires confidence, communicates impact, and increases both one-time and recurring giving.
  
  

At Elev8 Villages, we believe that every young person deserves more than a place to sleep. They deserve community, mentorship, opportunity, and a sense of belonging. Youth aging out of foster care often face extraordinary challenges through no fault of their own. Without stable support systems, many experience homelessness, unemployment, trafficking, addiction, or chronic instability within just a few years of leaving care. Donors play a critical role in changing that trajectory. A well-designed giving experience helps transform inspiration into action. When someone feels moved by the mission, the donation process should make it easy for them to become part of the solution. By helping us optimize our Givebutter platform, this volunteer will directly support our ability to attract and retain donors who make our work possible. Increased donor engagement and recurring support create the financial foundation needed to build partnerships, expand awareness, launch our National Tour, and ultimately create future Elev8 Villages. The impact of this project extends far beyond fundraising. It helps create the resources necessary to provide housing, mentorship, community, and long-term support for young people who deserve the opportunity to build thriving lives. The ripple effects of that support can influence families, communities, and future generations.

Elev8 Villages has already established its nonprofit status, fundraising infrastructure, website, organizational messaging, and Givebutter platform. The volunteer will have access to our existing donation page, fundraising materials, sponsorship deck, organizational story, and strategic plans. We have a clear vision for how fundraising supports our broader mission and are prepared to implement recommendations throughout the project. The founder will serve as the primary point of contact and provide timely feedback and decision-making. Any improvements developed through this project can be implemented immediately and integrated into upcoming fundraising campaigns, donor outreach efforts, and our National Tour. We are committed to utilizing the completed work and measuring its effectiveness as part of our long-term fundraising strategy.
