INTERNAL POSTING
General Description
The Facilitator of Collaborative Inquiry must be a certified teacher who will assist the building principal, assistant principals (if applicable), and Curriculum Directors in facilitating collaborative meetings involving curriculum development, data analysis, instructional impact, and other specified building-based duties.
Qualifications
- Certified teacher implementing all core curricula with integrity.
- Working knowledge of Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Sheets.
- Willingness to facilitate unpacking and looking at student work protocols and work with any data analysis reporting tools.
Duties
- Attend meetings with building administrator(s) outside of school hours to plan future PD experiences (choosing protocols, aligning outcomes) (no more than 20 hours over the course of the school year)
- Attend monthly meeting with curriculum directors on Tuesdays, in-person, at central office 3:30-4:30pm
Meeting Dates
- Participate in a 2-hour summer professional development planning in August.
- Work with administrators to prepare and facilitate professional development time.
- Facilitate building-based collaborative inquiry cohorts (This could include: Eureka Squared Module unpacking, Wit and Wisdom Module unpacking, Math implementation support, Science MCAS updates) .
- Facilitate the interpretation of data for curriculum and instructional decisions and student intervention. (Example: Looking at student work (FQT) protocol, Data dashboard teacher sheet).
- Facilitate meetings or support colleagues/principal with facilitation.
- Assist with communication within the school about scope and sequence, common assessment, and other curriculum information throughout the year.
