We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and accurate handling of materials, ensuring that all products are loaded, unloaded, and organized effectively. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various types of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and manage order picking processes.
- Operate heavy equipment such as clamp trucks and cranes safely and efficiently.
- Build pallets for shipping, ensuring proper stacking and securing of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) regularly throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and RF scanning technology is advantageous.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as clamp trucks or cranes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
