Industrial Reliability Mechanic -- Food Processing

As the 2nd shift gears up in New Bedford, you arrive ready to keep high-throughput seafood production lines running smoothly. You’ll move from station to station—completing preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and returning equipment to service—so operations never miss a beat.

• Start with the maintenance plan: review scheduled PMs, create work orders, and stage parts for upcoming tasks.
• Head to the floor: service OEM and custom-fabricated machinery, from conveyors to grinders and other production equipment.
• Tackle breakdowns: troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults independently and get lines back online.
• Partner up: coordinate with electricians, refrigeration contractors, and plumbers when specialized support is needed.
• Stay in sync: collaborate with the maintenance supervisor and an evolving team to improve plant performance.
• Button up the details: maintain inventory for replacement parts and document completed work.

• 5 years as an industrial mechanic, with hands-on experience in a production setting.
• Proven ability to independently troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Experience with conveyors, grinders, and general production equipment.
• Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
• Comfort reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Basic computer proficiency and solid math skills.
• Reliable transportation to New Bedford.
• Ability to lift within OSHA guidelines.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

• Active food processing facility handling fish; cold/refrigerated environment.
• Scheduled for 2nd shift, five days per week, including one weekend day.
