As we continue to grow, we are seeking an energetic, results-driven Regional Sales Manager to develop new business opportunities, expand existing customer relationships, and drive revenue growth across a 15-state territory.
Position SummaryThe Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while managing and growing existing accounts throughout an assigned multi-state territory. A significant portion of this role will focus on outbound prospecting, including cold calling, lead generation, and in-person business development activities. The balance of time will be dedicated to account development, customer visits, relationship management, and sales growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong business-to-business (B2B) sales experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization—from production personnel and plant managers to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities· Execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives within the assigned territory.
· Conduct outbound prospecting activities through phone calls, email outreach, networking, and in-person visits.
· Identify, qualify, and prioritize potential customers, industries, and market segments for business development.
· Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline and consistently convert opportunities into profitable business.
· Schedule and conduct customer meetings, facility visits, presentations, and business reviews.
· Develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through regular communication and exceptional customer service.
· Understand customer needs and provide appropriate recycling, refining, and metal recovery solutions.
· Collaborate with internal operations and management teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
· Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, opportunities, and communications within the company CRM system.
· Generate and submit daily call reports, customer activity reports, and trip reports for management review.
· Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions as required.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the territory.
Required Qualifications· Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience.
· Proven experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales.
· Demonstrated success with cold calling, prospecting, and new business development, both by phone and in person.
· Strong prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to travel 40-50% of the time, including overnight travel throughout the assigned territory.
· Valid REAL ID driver’s license or valid U.S. passport for domestic travel.
· Must be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance requirements and potential access to export-controlled technical information.
· Strong interpersonal and networking abilities with an outgoing, professional demeanor.
· Self-motivated, highly organized, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to present comfortably and professionally at all levels of an organization, from manufacturing shop floors to executive conference rooms and boardrooms.
· High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other virtual meeting platforms.
· Experience utilizing CRM software to manage customer relationships, sales opportunities, pipeline activity, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications· Experience selling industrial services, recycling services, metals, commodities, manufacturing solutions, environmental services, or related industries.
· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and revenue targets.
