About the Position
The Global Cybersecurity Services Engineer will be responsible for implementing and running the enterprise information security program. That will involve identifying, evaluating, and reporting on IT and cybersecurity risk to information and assets, while supporting and advancing business objectives.
The Global Cybersecurity Services Engineer will be the primary contact and coordination point for all Information Security incidents, projects and remediations. Position will report to the Director, IT Infrastructure and Operations
What You’ll Do
As a Global Cybersecurity Engineer, you will:
- Research, evaluate, design, and implement information security solutions for organization systems and products that comply with applicable cybersecurity frameworks, policies and standards
- Provides regular reporting on the current status of the information security program to enterprise risk teams, senior business leaders and the board of directors as part of a strategic enterprise risk management program, thus supporting business outcomes
- Work with IT and internal / external business partners to ensure that security is factored in the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration process of hardware and software
- Analyze and make recommendations to improve network, system, and application security posture
- Examine network, server, and application logs to determine trends and identify security vulnerabilities and incidents
- Lead in the review and update of information security policies, architectures, and standards
- Lead in responding to audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessments
- Lead the Incident Response Team as the primary point of contact for security related incident escalations.
- Manage Cybersecurity Training platform to educate end-users and IT teams on security best practices
- Flexibility, commitment, and capacity to work both independently and as part of a team, including working on-call nights and weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, required. MA a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in information security, especially in a cybersecurity engineering role
- Preferred Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or currently pursuing certification
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture, cloud security principles, and compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC)
- Strong knowledge of SIEM/SOAR operations, threat intelligence, threat hunting and attack frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Kusto Query Language (KQL), and automation
- Ability to investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and apply remediation measures.
- Technical expertise in network security knowledge, to include VPN, Firewall, network monitoring, intrusion detection, web server security, and wireless security
- Deep experience within the Microsoft Technology stack
- Experience with Endpoint & Email Security toolsets
- Practical experience with database security, content filtering, vulnerability scanning, and anti-malware
- An understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality, prompt, and efficient service to the business
- An understanding of organizational mission, values, and goals and consistent application of this knowledge
- Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one
- An ability to effectively influence others to modify their opinions, plans, or behaviors
Primary Location, Work Arrangement & Eligibility
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Southfield, Michigan.
- Relocation assistance is not provided; candidates must be local or able to relocate at their own expense.
