What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Mechanic w/CDL (SUPERVISOR) position at ELE Branding (Website)?
Diagnoses, repairs, overhauls, and maintains heavy construction and tactical equipment including cranes, bulldozers, graders, conveyors, compressors, pumps, and similar power-driven equipment in accordance with technical manuals, shop work instructions, and Army maintenance standards.
Operates, inspects, and tests equipment to identify malfunctions; dismantle and reassemble mechanical systems using appropriate tools, diagnostic equipment, hoists, and precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and gauges.
Replaces or repairs defective components and assemblies including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and structural components; perform welding and fabrication repairs as required to restore operational capability.
Conducts functional testing and operational checks on repaired or overhauled equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
Serves as the on-site Location Supervisor, directing daily work activities of contractor mechanics and support personnel, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with contract requirements.
Coordinates with Government supervisors, maintenance managers, and the Contractor Project Manager to support maintenance schedules, equipment readiness, training support missions, and logistics operations.
Operate and transports heavy equipment or vehicles requiring a Class-A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) in support of maintenance operations, equipment movement, and mission requirements.
Maintains documentation and ensure compliance with Army regulations, safety requirements, environmental policies, and the contractor Quality Control and Safety Plans while supporting operational readiness objectives.
