Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver food quickly and accurately from the kitchen to guests, ensuring every dish meets El Sombrero’s presentation standards
- Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently to maintain a polished and inviting dining atmosphere
- Support servers by refilling drinks, running items, and assisting with guest needs in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the dining room, including bussing tables, sweeping, and organizing service stations
- Assist with light prep and restocking duties to keep operations running smoothly
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and servers to ensure accurate and timely service
- Handle all plates, utensils, and glassware in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is a plus, but not required—we value attitude and hustle
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stay organized and move efficiently during busy shifts
- Comfortable standing, walking, and carrying trays or bus tubs for extended periods
- Familiarity with POS systems (such as Aloha or Micros) is helpful but not required
- Basic kitchen or food knowledge is a bonus
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mindset
