Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using a cash register or point-of-sale system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring high standards of presentation.
- Assist with bussing tables to maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all tables are attended to during busy service periods.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong guest service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of sales techniques to enhance guest experience through upselling menu items is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
