Restaurant Manager, AM

SCOPE AND PURPOSE:

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of El Encanto's breakfast and lunch dining experiences, ensuring every guest begins their day with exceptional service, refined cuisine, and genuine hospitality. This hands-on leadership role oversees all front-of-house operations during the morning and afternoon service periods while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and personalized luxury service.

Working in partnership with Culinary and resort leadership, the Restaurant Manager drives operational excellence, team development, financial performance, and memorable guest experiences that reflect the timeless elegance and elevated hospitality of El Encanto.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Luxury Guest Experience & Service Excellence

• Lead all aspects of breakfast and lunch service, ensuring seamless, personalized, and attentive guest experiences.
• Maintain exceptional service standards by actively engaging with guests, anticipating needs, and resolving concerns with professionalism and urgency.
• Monitor the dining room throughout service to ensure quality, presentation, cleanliness, and ambiance consistently reflect the resort's luxury standards.
• Partner with the culinary team to ensure accurate, timely food delivery and exceptional execution.
• Foster meaningful guest interactions that build loyalty and create memorable dining experiences.

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, train, coach, and develop front-of-house team members while cultivating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and hospitality.
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings to communicate service priorities, guest preferences, VIP arrivals, and operational updates.
• Provide real-time coaching throughout service to reinforce standards and recognize outstanding performance.
• Complete performance evaluations, coaching conversations, scheduling, and development planning to support employee growth.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.

Operational & Financial Excellence

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening procedures, staffing, scheduling, cash handling, inventory controls, and service execution.
• Monitor labor productivity, payroll, supply usage, and departmental expenses while supporting financial objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and company policies.
• Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and organization of all front-of-house areas to reflect luxury hospitality standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction.

Collaboration & Resort Partnership

• Partner closely with Culinary, Front Office, Housekeeping, Catering & Events, Engineering, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience throughout the resort.
• Communicate guest preferences, service opportunities, and operational needs proactively with leadership teams.
• Support special events, holiday programming, and resort initiatives as business demands require.
• Serve as a visible leader and ambassador for El Encanto by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to exceptional hospitality.
• Contribute to a collaborative culture focused on innovation, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

OTHER:

• Minimum three (3) years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hotels, resorts, fine dining restaurants, or upscale hospitality environments.
• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, or comparable leadership role preferred.
• Demonstrated passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences with a strong understanding of elevated luxury service standards.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, restaurant service standards, wine and beverage service, and guest recovery practices.
• Experience with labor management, scheduling, inventory control, forecasting, and departmental financial performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency with restaurant POS systems, Microsoft Office, and hospitality management software.
• ServSafe Food Manager Certification and Responsible Beverage Service Certification required, or the ability to obtain within established timeframes.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events as business demands require. 

Salary Range for this position: $90,000 Annually
