Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general repairs, routine maintenance, and light installations across HOA communities. This role requires a versatile, hands-on professional who can troubleshoot issues, complete work efficiently, and represent Vero Maintenance with professionalism on-site.
Requirements
- Perform general maintenance and repair work across residential HOA communities
- Complete work orders including, but not limited to:
- Drywall repair and painting
- Minor plumbing repairs (leaks, fixtures, toilets, sinks)
- Basic electrical work (outlets, switches, light fixtures)
- Door, lock, and hardware repairs
- Fence, gate, and railing repairs
- Flooring repairs (vinyl, tile, minor carpet fixes)
- Cabinetry, trim, and carpentry touch-ups
- Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance issues before they escalate
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests and emergency calls as needed
- Accurately document work performed, materials used, and job status
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, property managers, and residents when appropriate
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow safety protocols, HOA rules, and company standards at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in general maintenance, handyman services, or facilities maintenance
- Broad working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
- Ability to diagnose issues and recommend appropriate solutions
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day
- Comfortable working independently and managing daily assignments
- Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience working in HOA, condominium, or multi-family communities
- Maintenance certifications or trade licenses
- Familiarity with maintenance ticketing or work-order systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
