What You Do
EJF Rentals seeks a reliable and motivated Leasing Specialist to support our leasing team with field operations and property showings. This is a hands-on, field-based role that requires traveling to properties, taking marketing photos, and assisting with marketing and vacancy walk-throughs.
Requirements
Property Showings
- Conduct property showings for prospective tenants
- Walkthrough properties and ensure units are ready for tours
- Answer basic questions from prospective renters
- Communicate feedback from prospects to the leasing team
Field Operations
- Check and confirm all units have a set of working keys/fobs
- Install and remove lockboxes at properties
- Coordinate access for vendors, agents, and prospective tenants
- Perform vacancies walk-throughs and report property conditions
- Ensure properties are secure after showings
Marketing Support
- Capture property photos and upload marketing materials
- Use Matterport to create virtual tours
- Assist with preparing listings for advertising
Property Readiness
- Verify properties are ready for showings
- Check for cleanliness, safety, and basic readiness
- Report maintenance or turnover needs to the team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to travel between properties daily
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Basic technology skills (smartphone, apps, email)
Qualifications
- 0 - 3 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in leasing, property management, or real estate is helpful but not required
- Candidate should demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude
- Highly organized, responsive, comfortable working independently, and enjoys being out in the field interacting with prospective tenants
Work Environment
This is a field-based position that requires traveling to multiple properties throughout the week. Candidates should be comfortable spending most of their time outside the office conducting showings and performing property visits. This role requires weekend work for property showings (~4 hours).
