HSE Specialist / HSE Supervisor (Contract)
Location: Childress, TX (100% Onsite)

Project: Large-Scale Industrial / Critical Infrastructure Construction
We’re supporting a fast-growing EPC firm delivering large, complex infrastructure projects across Texas. They are actively bringing on an experienced HSE Specialist / HSE Supervisor to support onsite construction activities for a long-term, high-visibility project in Childress.
This is a field-embedded HSE role focused on real safety execution and influence — not a box-checking or clipboard position.
What You’ll Be Doing
Onsite Health & Safety Leadership
- Serve as the primary onsite safety advisor for construction leadership and craft personnel
- Actively engage crews, supervisors, and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture
Safety Observation & Oversight
- Conduct daily and weekly safety walks, audits, and inspections across active work areas
- Identify at-risk behaviors and conditions, driving immediate corrective actions
Safety Program Execution
- Implement and enforce site-specific safety plans and client safety requirements
- Lead toolbox talks, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and safety briefings
- Verify compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local construction safety regulations
Training & Documentation
- Coordinate and deliver safety training for site personnel and subcontractors
- Maintain required safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
Incident Management
- Lead incident reporting, investigations, and case management
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective action development
- Assist with emergency response coordination when required
Collaboration
- Work closely with project management, superintendents, and client reps on all safety matters
- Support inspections, audits, and safety readiness reviews
What They’re Looking For
- 5 years of hands-on construction safety experience on large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or heavy civil projects
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards and regulations
- Proven experience implementing safety programs, identifying hazards, and mitigating risk in live construction environments
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-accountability job sites
- Excellent communication skills with experience leading safety meetings and training
Preferred Certifications (one or more):
- CSHO (Certified Safety & Health Official)
- CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician)
- Or equivalent industry-recognized safety credentials
Comp & Structure
- Competitive hourly rate per diem OT
- Long-term contract with 18–24 months of potential project duration
