🚚 Logistics Sales / Business Development (Domestic Freight)
Location: Houston area (The Heights or Brazoria County)

A privately held, growth-oriented 3PL is expanding its sales team and looking to add one strong domestic freight seller. This is a true hunting full-cycle sales role with strong operational support behind you.
This team is open to junior sellers building momentum as well as seasoned producers with an established book—what matters most is freight knowledge, work ethic, and the ability to win and grow accounts.
🧠What You’ll Be Selling
This role is 100% focused on domestic freight—no international, no intermodal emphasis.
Primary freight mix includes:
- Flatbed & stepdeck
- Oversized / over-dimensional loads
- Heavy-haul & RGN
- Heavy rental & manufacturing equipment
- Dry van (supporting freight)
You’ll work closely with operations and carrier partners to move complex, time-sensitive freight across the U.S.
💼 What You’ll Do
- Prospect, hunt, and close new shipper accounts
- Own the full sales cycle: outreach → quoting → close → account growth
- Grow and manage a profitable book of domestic freight business
- Price freight, negotiate margins, and collaborate with ops to ensure execution
- Build long-term relationships with shippers and carriers
- Use TMS/CRM tools to manage pipeline and performance
🎯 Ideal Background (Flexible by Level)
Junior to Mid-Level Sellers
- 1–3 years in 3PL or freight brokerage sales
- Exposure to domestic freight (flatbed, heavy haul, or specialized preferred)
- Strong hunter mentality and coachability
Experienced / Senior Sellers
- 4–15 years in freight brokerage or 3PL sales
- Proven book of business (preferred, not mandatory for the right fit)
- Deep understanding of flatbed, oversized, or heavy-haul freight
- Comfortable operating autonomously with minimal oversight
