Employee Benefits Coordinator

The company is currently seeking an Employee Benefits Coordinator. This individual, who will work in in close tandem with our current Benefits Administrator, will be responsible for administering the health benefits and 401(k) plan for our current workforce of 6000 employees. This includes the evaluation and administration of Medical, Dental, and Vison plans. In addition to these health plans, the company also offers a Health Savings Account (HSA), Dependent Care FSA, Short & Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, and Worksite Accident plans.
This position requires on-site attendance at the Company’s Headquarters located in Indianapolis (Broad Ripple). The position will allow employee to Work From Home two (2) days per week once the employee has settled into the role (typically 6-8 weeks following hire). While the Company is ideally seeking an employee who can work Full Time (40 hours/week), it may consider an individual who is seeking Part Time hours (at least 30 hours/week).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Enroll, terminate, and update employees’ benefit enrollments as necessary.
- Create/update online benefits portal via Company’s payroll provider (ADP), as well as create/update material distributed to employees about benefit offerings.
- With the assistance of insurance broker, HR Director, and current Benefits Administrator, evaluate health insurance plans and plan designs that are attractive to employee population.
- Thorough understanding of benefit plans and ability to communicate them to employees.
- Execute on benefit compliance tasks, such as 1095-C reporting.
- Input insurance related bills into payment system for monthly processing.
- Assist in conducting annual Open Enrollment for 6000 employee workforce.
- Present benefits offerings to newly hired employees during their new employee training.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic benefits administration/knowledge is helpful, but not required
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to executive re-occurring (daily, weekly, monthly) tasks.
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to understand and clearly articulate information to employees.
- Aptitude to identify the root cause of glitch and how to resolve.
- Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position
- Ability to recognize when a situation requires escalation to a manager.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, & Outlook. Knowledge utilizing ADP WorkForceNow is a plus.

Salary : $45,000 - $50,000
