Day in the life
As our Food Safety Sanitation Operations Lead, you’ll kick off the third-shift huddle, assign zones, and then jump in alongside the crew as a working supervisor. You’ll guide sanitation activities across production lines and facility areas, verify standards in real time, and serve as the go-to problem solver for anything sanitation-related on your shift.
Your impact
- Direct and work shoulder-to-shoulder with the third-shift sanitation team to complete daily cleaning and changeover tasks.
- Execute hands-on sanitation of production equipment and facility spaces to keep operations running safely.
- Coach teammates on correct procedures, chemical handling, and safety protocols; build skills through on-the-job training.
- Monitor performance and enforce SSOP, HACCP, and GMP compliance throughout the shift.
- Be the primary point of contact for sanitation questions, escalations, and quick decisions.
- Operate and maintain sanitation tools and equipment, including power scrubbers, foamers, and forklifts.
- Handle, mix, and store cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly.
What you bring
- Proven leadership and clear, confident communication with diverse teams.
- Background in sanitation within a food manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Stamina to stand and walk for long periods and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Working knowledge of sanitation methods and safety best practices.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
