General Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning, the Regional Bicycle Education Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for ESD 112 with the Cascade Bicycle Club (CBC). The Coordinator leads program implementation, delivery logistics, day-to-day operations and provides in-class Physical Education teacher support for participating school districts within the ESD 112 Region. The Coordinator will work with key partners and internal and external stakeholders.
Salary
The full range for this position is $62,411.20 - $76,37.60. Offers are made at the entry level of the range.
Assignment/Location
This is a full-time, year-round position. Job duties will be performed approximately 50% in an office environment and 50% traveling to districts, ESD's, and other miscellaneous locations which can include outdoor work.
Regular attendance required: This role relies on regular and reliable attendance to ensure consistency for our students and help support a positive, productive learning environment.
Essential Functions/Other Functions
Essential Functions:
- Act as the program representative within the ESD 112 region. This includes recruiting school districts to implement the program and establishing community partners within the region and work with the CBC.
- Partner with the Program Manager, create, manage, and monitor delivery and pickup schedules between schools and districts. This includes bicycle fleet and other program materials.
- Implement ESD contract deliverables as outlined in Exhibit A - Scope of Work and Deliverables of the CBC-ESD contract agreement.
- Collect and report program data to the Program Manager and to the Statewide ESD-AESD Bicycle Education Project Manager and CBC.
- Deliver trailers, bikes, and equipment to districts or directly to participating schools.
- Support fleet management and maintain the trailer and bikes with contracts with community partners or local bike shops
- Support the training of PE teachers on implementing the program and provide on-site support of PE teachers as needed.

- Replenish curriculum materials including but not limited to: bikes, helmets, bike locks, and program posters.
- Maintain regular attendance to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Coordinate with schools and districts with volunteers as needed.
- Help ensure adequate student to teacher ratios.
- Other duties as assigned.
- AA Degree or equivalent work experience in education, administrative support, bicycle fleet management, bicycle repair, or related field.
- Prior experience or willingness to tow cargo trailers and/or drive delivery trucks.
- Word processing and spreadsheet software knowledge and experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Prior experience with mechanical repair or willingness to learn to diagnose and fix bicycles.
- Recent experience teaching and/or facilitating physical education programs, especially bicycle education.
- Prior experience training teachers or teams.
- Work is performed approximately fifty percent (50%) in an office environment and approximately fifty percent (50%) traveling to districts, ESD's, and other miscellaneous locations which can include outdoor work.
- Travel to assigned districts in ESD 112 Special Education ESA service region.
- Lifts and carries a maximum of fifty (50) pounds including moving bicycles to/from storage or on/off of vehicles and trailers including during adverse weather.
- May include some weekend and evening work.
- Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
