Job Focus Area
At the Department of Education, the Licensing team ensures the health, safety, and well-being of children by monitoring licensed and certified early learning sites. We consult and provide on-site technical assistance to early learning sites across Louisiana, working every day to ensure compliance with the minimum standards.
We’re looking for an Administrative Coordinator 4 to serve as one of two contacts at the agency to gather information about complaints and self-reported incidents for licensed and unlicensed sites as well as providing administrative support to help keep the office running smoothly.

Minimum Qualifications
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
As an Administrative Coordinator 4, you will
- Review and process self-reported incidents from licensed early learning centers
- Take phone calls from complainant regarding licensed sites and unlicensed locations
- Answer incoming calls, route messages, and provide general information about the licensing process
- Generate and update schedule inspection requests
- Review Inspections
- Support the Licensing team with everyday office tasks like mail distribution and general administrative support
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office. Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment, if selected.
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule:Work hours are Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Salary : $2,732 - $4,682
