Specific Qualifications
Key Duties/Accountabilities:
- Field Testing & Analysis: Perform predictive maintenance tests, including vibration collection and analysis, thermography, and lubrication analysis, to assess equipment health.
- Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance: Conduct mechanical maintenance on AC/DC motors, including repairs and replacements. Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on AC/DC motors and control systems.
- Mechanical Repair: Execute mechanical repairs on turbines, gearboxes, pumps, and other industrial machinery.
- Knowledge Application: Apply your knowledge of electrical and mechanical applications to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure equipment is functioning at optimal levels.
- Travel & Customer Site Work: Travel to customer sites as required, providing field service support and resolving issues efficiently.
- Training & Mentorship: Train in additional areas under the guidance of a Manager or Supervisor. Provide support and mentorship to new shop-service technicians who are unfamiliar with the work processes.
- Safety & Quality Compliance: Ensure all work is performed according to required procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols. Advocate for safety and environmental practices within the team and customer sites.
- Customer Service & Documentation: Maintain professionalism in customer interactions. Document and report customer complaints to the quality department and address them promptly to ensure resolution.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing process improvements by providing suggestions for procedural enhancements or operational efficiencies.
- Special Projects: Support special projects as assigned by the Operations Manager, which may evolve into primary responsibilities.
- Efficient production, with minimal rework and warranty costs.
- Meeting or exceeding customer demand and delivery expectations.
- High levels of customer satisfaction and successful issue resolution.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in repairing and servicing electrical and mechanical apparatus. Must be knowledgeable in at least two of the following areas: vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication analysis, and mechanical/electrical maintenance.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical applications, along with hands-on experience in motor maintenance, control troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs (e.g., turbines, gearboxes, pumps).
- Additional Skills: Experience with computer applications and diagnostic tools. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required to meet customer and company demands.
- Team-Oriented: Ability to work well within a team environment, collaborating with colleagues from various departments to complete projects effectively.
- Professionalism: A strong professional attitude when dealing with customers, vendors, and service providers, ensuring that all interactions represent the company positively.
