Controls & Automation Engineer (Temporary Contract Workers / Contract to Hire)
Edison Smart is supporting our client who are ramping up project activity for Jan/Feb and is looking to add an experienced Controls & Automation Engineer with strong Siemens capability to support upcoming manufacturing automation work.
Core Requirements
• Solid background with Siemens PLCs, ideally S7-1500
• Confident working in TIA Portal (programming, configuration, troubleshooting)
• Strong HMI/SCADA capability with WinCC (Comfort Panels SCADA)
Additional Technical Skills
• Safety PLC programming (S7 Safety)
• Industrial networking: Profinet, Ethernet/IP
• Drives integration with Sinamics
• Useful bonus: Rockwell exposure (Studio 5000, PlantPAx, FactoryTalk View/Optix)
Role Scope
• PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming
• Commissioning and on-site integration
• Support across greenfield builds and retrofit/upgrade projects in manufacturing environments
Ideal Contractor Profile
• Proven delivery in industrial automation projects
• Comfortable working independently on client sites
• Able to bridge both design and commissioning phases
