We are seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Private Events Assistant Manager to join our team at Edison House. The Private Event Sales Assistant Manager at Edison House owns the full private event lifecycle — from first inquiry through signed contract to flawless on-site execution. This role manages every stage of the client journey: qualifying inquiries, building proposals, closing contracts, coordinating logistics, and executing events. Must be 21
Key Responsibilities:
Help plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events to bring client visions to life.
Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless event logistics, including venue bookings, catering, AV, client interactions, signage, etc.
On-site captaining of events to ensure events are a success and clients are highly satisfied.
Serve as liaison between client, banquet captain, and culinary team.
Monitor event success metrics, providing post-event reports and recommendations for future improvements.
Qualifications
Required
- 2 years of sales or event coordination experience in hospitality, private events, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline and close contracts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; client-facing confidence.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with multiple concurrent events.
- Experience with or ability to quickly learn CRM/event management platforms (TripleSeat preferred).
Preferred
- Experience with TripleSeat, HubSpot, or similar event/sales CRM.
- Background in private club, boutique hotel, or upscale venue environment.
- Familiarity with F&B coordination, vendor management, and event logistics.
Working Conditions
This role requires regular on-site presence at Edison House, including evening and weekend hours during peak event periods. On-floor event presence (1 to 2 hours per event) is a standard part of the role. Schedule flexibility is expected.

Requirements:
1-3 years' of experience in event planning and coordination, preferably within a hospitality environment.
Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Basic proficiency in using event management software and tools, as well as standard office software.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, as required by the event schedule.
Must be 21 years or older to apply.
