What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Events Assistant Manager position at Edison House?
What: We are seeking a creative, ambitious, self-starter to oversee our Member Events department. Member Events is the backbone of our culture and entertainment offering, and encompasses a wide variety of member experiences and events; examples include live music, speaker series, wine tastings, drag brunches, comedy shows, themed parties, etc.

How: With creative mind, maturity and leadership, and a love for visioning and executing events and parties, the Member Events Manager will oversee all member events at Edison House. You will be responsible for event conceptualization, partnership development, inter-departmental coordination, contracting, calendar management, day-of logistics and operations, and organization of Member Clubs.

Regular duties for the Member Events Manager

Build our monthly member events calendar from conceptualization to logistics to execution.

Manage the member events budget. Track revenue and costs of member events to hit budget goals

Collaborate with Marketing to determine a promotional strategy for every event

Work with internal stakeholders to establish event requirements for staffing, food and beverage, lighting, music, check-in/ticketing, setup, teardown, etc.

Build relationships with potential programing partners and other outside vendors for all range of events needs.

Attend member events to help with event operations and logistics

Track and organize member events data and KPIs, and analyze historical member events data to inform future events decisions

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in event management or similar field

Maturity and leadership, and high EQ for collaborating with various stakeholders including both employees and members.

Social and curious, with an intuitive understanding of how to develop culture and entertainment that will be best-in-class.

Night Owl – role will require odd hours including occasional late nights

Standard technological proficiency (Microsoft Suite, and ability to learn and manage our events management system)
